About airliners.net

The website is dedicated to aviation photos and aviation enthusiast discussions. Not a bad place except for a few things. I'll only talk about one of them today and that is the whole photo submission process. After carefully tweaking the picture to meet reasonable standards and uploading them, the photos are then screened. The screeners say they are only looking for good quality pictures but what a lot of people don't know is that it comes with strings attached. All the screeners are a joke, they play games, they have favorites, preventing new people from submitting photos and so on. I attempted to upload a few photos of my own, of course my first ones were rejected, I thought ok, i'll try again with some other pictures buy trying to correct any mistakes. Finally after getting them perfect and uploading them, they are rejected again. The reject notice says they lack motif, WTF. I'm really pissed off because someone else had their photo accepted and it was no doubt the same subject type which was in my photo, they almost looked identical but they weren't. Each subject was taken in a different type of aircraft.
Also another bad experience, another one of my pictures was rejected because it "cut off a portion of the airplane". Well I say BS to that, when I see plenty of other photos with small parts of the airplane cut off from the picture. How the F. did they get them accepted? I can go on forever about stupid picture stories but I'm tired.
